Outback Metal Group was born from a simple idea shared by two mates: bring back quality, reliability, and craftsmanship to an industry too often let down by poor imports and inconsistent service. With over 15 years of combined experience in fabrication and design, we saw an opportunity to do things differently and do them better.

The People Behind the Brand

I'm Jonathan. I moved from South Africa to Brisbane ten years ago, and it was at my very first job here that I met Nick's wife. Months of hearing great things about her husband eventually led to a beer at a birthday party, and somehow that turned into Outback Metal Group. Two Brisbane locals, 15 years of combined experience, and a shared obsession with making metalwork that actually lasts.
