REFUND POLICY

1. GENERAL
All conditions outlined in this policy are consistent with the Australian Consumer Law (ACL) and your rights as a consumer. By making a purchase from Outback Metal Group, you agree to the terms outlined below.
If you have any questions about returns or refunds, please contact us via our Contact Us page. We will respond within 24–48 hours.
2. FAULTY OR DAMAGED PRODUCTS
Under the Australian Consumer Law, you are entitled to a repair, replacement, or refund if a product is:
- Faulty or defective
- Not as described
- Not fit for its intended purpose
There is no strict time limit for reporting faulty products under the ACL. However, we ask that you notify us as soon as reasonably possible after discovering an issue.
To help us resolve the matter promptly, we may ask for:
- A brief written description of the problem
- Clear photos or video showing the fault or damage
3. 14-DAY MONEY BACK GUARANTEE
In addition to your rights under the ACL, Outback Metal Group offers a 14-day money back guarantee from the date you receive your order. If you are not completely satisfied with your purchase for any reason, contact us within 14 days and we will arrange a full refund.
To be eligible for a change of mind refund under this guarantee, the item must be:
- In its original condition
- Not used, misused, or intentionally damaged
After 14 days from the date of delivery, change of mind refunds will not be issued.
4. RETURN PROCESS
Before returning any product, please contact us via our Contact Us page with:
- Your order number
- A description of the issue
- Supporting photos or video where applicable
Once we have reviewed your request we will provide you with a return address and any relevant instructions. All returns are handled through our Brisbane, Queensland warehouse.
5. RETURN SHIPPING COSTS
We cover return shipping costs in the following situations:
- The item is faulty, damaged, or not as described - in line with ACL requirements
- We request a return as part of resolving a 14-day money back guarantee claim
To be reimbursed for return shipping, please provide a valid shipping receipt. Return shipping refunds will be processed back to your original payment method.
For change of mind returns outside of our 14-day guarantee period, return shipping costs are borne by the customer.
6. REFUND TIMEFRAME
Once your return is approved, refunds will be processed to your original payment method within 5-10 business days, excluding weekends and public holidays.
If you have not received your refund after 10 business days:
- Check your account statement
- Contact your bank or payment provider for an update
- If the issue remains unresolved, contact us via our Contact Us page and we will investigate
7. REFUNDS WILL NOT BE ISSUED FOR CHANGE OF MIND IF:
- More than 14 days have passed since the date of delivery
- The item has been used, misused, or damaged after receipt
- You found the item at a lower price elsewhere
- You ordered the incorrect item
Please note that your statutory rights under the ACL are not affected by any of the above conditions. If a product is faulty, not as described, or not fit for purpose, you remain entitled to a remedy regardless of the timeframe.
